Why a postgraduate degree in Data Analytics?

Data Analytics is one of the fastest growing areas of IT, across a variety of organisations and industries, and remains critical for businesses as it turns information into an asset for deriving insights and making decisions.

The aim of this programme is to produce highly-skilled graduates with expertise that cuts across the core disciplines of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. It emphasises the critical connection from data to information, from information to knowledge, and from knowledge to decision making, encompassed in the Data-Lifecycle.

The inclusion of cross-modular data projects together with a major 15-credit Data Project module gives this programme a very practical focus, enabling participant to apply the knowledge and techniques gained to industry-type problems.

According to a Higher Education Labour Market Earnings Report released by the HEA in 2019, ICT graduates are among the highest weekly earnings four years after graduating compared to other sectors based on the analysis of the destinations of students who graduated between 2010 and 2017.
