Why a postgraduate degree in Data Analytics?

Data Analytics is one of the fastest growing areas of IT, across a variety of organisations and industries, and remains critical for businesses as it turns information into an asset for deriving insights and making decisions.

The aim of this programme is to produce highly-skilled graduates with expertise that cuts across the core disciplines of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. It emphasises the critical connection from data to information, from information to knowledge, and from knowledge to decision making, encompassed in the data-lifecycle

According to a Higher Education Labour Market Earnings Report released by the HEA in 2019, ICT graduates are among the highest weekly earnings four years after graduating compared to other sectors based on the analysis of the destinations of students who graduated between 2010 and 2017.

 

Things to note about this programme:

  •     Funding support for the full-time delivery of this programme is available to eligible Irish residents via                   Springboard+ (Human Capital Initiative Pillar 1)
  •  
  •     It is available in full-time (1 Year) or part-time (2 Years) delivery mode
  •  
  •     A unique feature of this course is the strong collaboration between industry and academia in its                          development.
  •  
  •     Students will gain hands-on experience working of an industry environment via a structured work                       placement 
  1.     The programme is open to graduates with level 8 degree in any discipline (minimum 2:2) with a minimum           of 15 credits in mathematics (Level 7 graduates with sufficient relevant work experience my also apply)
  •     International students are also invited to apply for this programme, however it is important to note that               Springboard+ funding may not apply.
